The Mission of the Faculty of Social and Political Science

The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences is committed to Georgia’s centuries-old cultural and educational traditions. Its Mission is to promote Georgia’s socio-economic and cultural development through creating and disseminating new knowledge; to train competitive staff; and to develop educational and research activities. 

The Purpose of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences
The purpose of the Faculty is to take the lead within the university, to meet international standards of education and research and ensure the constant growth of European-quality education and internationalization through close collaboration with European universities. 

The Vision of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences
By 2024, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences will be an internationally recognized educational-research center for social and political sciences, and actively involved in addressing the issues and meeting the socio-economic and political challenges facing the country. 

The Values of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences
The Values of the Faculty are based on important universal values of education and research. These include: professionalism, academic freedom, responsibility, collegiality, openness, trust, diversity of ideas, readiness for change and innovation and service to the country.  The Faculty ensures high quality, equal access and possibilities for self-realization in the spheres of learning, teaching and research regardless of gender, religion, ethnicity, physical capacities and social status.
